With the help of our Master and well-wishers from all over the world, the Center has seen a phenomenal growth from its modest beginning to a medium size cottage industry employing over 15 interns and 5 regulars. Our clients include both Tibetan and foreigners who appreciate the detailed carvings and quality of our products and their traditional significance. Products are constructed in a unique way without using nuts and nails. As one could well imagine from the selective pictures in our web site, the different carving motifs tell the Tibetan history and religion in its own right. We produce a vast range of products from household folding tables to intricately carved religious artifacts like Mandalas. The styles and forms ranges from 7th century Eastern Do-kham styles to the 13th to 14th century renaissance artifacts. We are still struggling to capture the many more forms and styles from our great Master. Our ultimate mission is to capture the central and unique Tibetan woodcrafts and their carving arts and forms from other living masters. 2008 Tibetan Woodcraft Center |
